BillCalc doesn't run its own account system or server database of your bills — everything is stored on your device, with an optional backup copy in your own Google Drive if you turn that on. Because of that, "deleting your account" means two separate things depending on what you've used. Both are self-service; you don't need to contact us to do either.
Your bills, store details, and quick items live only in the BillCalc app's local storage on your phone. To delete all of it immediately:
Either action permanently and immediately erases every bill, item, and setting stored on that device. There is no server-side copy to also delete — nothing is retained anywhere by us.
If you signed in and enabled cloud backup, a copy of your bills, store details, and quick items
is stored in a hidden, app-only folder in your own Google Drive (Google's appDataFolder).
To delete it:
This immediately and permanently deletes both backup files (your bill/data backup and the device-sync manifest) from Google Drive. It does not affect the bills stored on your device — only the cloud copy. Nothing is retained after deletion; there is no additional retention period.
Alternatively, you can revoke BillCalc's Google Drive access entirely from your Google Account's third-party access page — this stops BillCalc from being able to read or write that folder at all, but for immediate, verifiable deletion of the backup contents themselves, use the in-app button above.
Aggregated, non-identifying analytics events (e.g. "a bill was saved") and crash reports may already have been sent to Firebase before you delete your data — these never contain your bill contents, customer names, or store details, and are handled per Google's own retention policies for Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics. Deleting your on-device or Drive backup data does not retroactively remove already-sent aggregate analytics events, since those never identified you individually. Full detail: Privacy Policy.
